Despite using a shorter ladder to board the presidential plane, Joe Biden stumbled over a step again this Thursday, but immediately put the step back together without the incident having consequences to regret.

Minutes before taking off in Helsinki, Finland, the american president He managed to advance to the middle of the 14 steps that mark his journey inside Air Force One. However, he took a false step that almost made him lose his balance.

Immediately afterwards, Biden turned around to say goodbye to the spectators at the Helsinki-Vantaan International Airport. prior to taking off for Joint Base Andrews as part of a work tour he carried out to hold meetings with various leaders of the Nordic countries.

Since he suffered a hard fall when he tripped over a sandbag during a graduation ceremony held at the Air Force Academy in Colorado, the president uses a more comfortable staircase to board the state aircraft.

It has been reported that previous presidents have used the shorter stairs to get on and off the Boeing 747-200B series aircraft, but Biden finds it more difficult to climb up and therefore uses stairs that are less complicated for him.

Until now There are already four occasions on which the president has stumbled, a behavior that for his detractors reveals wear and tear caused by his advanced age.

One of the most complicated moments in which Biden has been involved occurred last February, in Warsaw, Poland. And it is that the president was caught losing his balance when he was in the middle of the stairs that gave him access to the presidential plane, only that at that moment the stairs he used were longer.

Perhaps the reason behind the president’s stumbling blocks is found in the report released about his most recent examination of his physical condition.

Kevin O’Connor, White House physician, submitted a five-page report where mentions that, at 80, Joe Biden presents a stiff gait due to suffering from “significant spinal arthritis, mild post-fracture arthritis of the foot, and mild sensory peripheral neuropathy of the feet.”

However, To this must be added some concentration problems that affect the president when he erroneously cites the names of countries and presidents, as is the case of Iraq for Ukraine and Vladimir for Volodimir.

Apart from that, Joe Biden is the longest-serving president the United States has had throughout its history.
