Ronaldinho: the great soccer magician who needed to cure his hangovers after victories

The masseur Belmiro de Oliveirawho has just retired after 55 years working in the Atletico Mineirorevealed that He “always” helped Ronaldinho Gaúcho to cure his hangovers during his time at the Belo Horizonte club.

In an interview with the Itatiaia station’s “Backstage” program, De Oliveira stated that he was “followed” to the room of the Brazilian star to attend to him when he exceeded himself at night.

“Only I entered his room. He would stay with Jô (his roommate at the time) and Jô would call me to come to his room. I asked for something to eat, because I was not going to go down for breakfast”recounted.

Ronaldinho wore the Mineiro shirt between 2012 and 2014, a period in which he won several titles, including a Copa Libertadores (2013) and a Copa Sudamericana (2014).

Despite his intense life off the pitch, De Oliveira pointed out that ‘El Brujo’ was “very calm” and “pleasant” on a day-to-day basis.

“He arrived ready to enter the field. When training was over, he would go upstairs, give himself a massage and leave. She didn’t bother you. He was a very nice guy“he recalled.

De Oliveira began working at Atlético Mineiro, one of the most traditional clubs in Brazil, in 1968 and retired from his duties with the team earlier this July.

Loved by the albinegra fans, he has the honor of being the only club worker who has experienced the two League titles that Mineiro has in its showcases (1971 and 2021).
