HOUSTON – What seemed like a miracle this past weekend has turned into a disturbing case.

After eight years presumably missing, the young Rudolph “Rudy” Farias was found outside a church north of Houston beaten and disoriented last Thursday, authorities said.

A twist in the investigation has changed everything.

The surprising outcome indicates that his own mother had hidden him all this time.

The activist Quanell X, who was present during the questioning of the authorities in a hotel north of Houston, held a brief press conference on Wednesday where he offered shocking details about the questioning of the mother by Houston Police investigators. and the young man who was thought to have disappeared when he was 17 years old and was walking his two dogs.

Quanell X commented that the boy had been away for two days, but returned home. It was then that his mother ordered him to hide as he would be arrested, this would have been the beginning of 8 years of Rudy’s captivity.

More terrifying details came to light when, according to the activist, the mother forced “Rudy” to sleep in the same bed and assume adult roles, even making him play the role of her husband. The boy confessed that he did not like sharing a bed with her.

“She (the mother) made him sleep in bed with her, she made him play daddy, he didn’t like being in bed with her,” said Quanell X, referring to statements that “Rudy” Farias would have made to the authorities .

According to the activist, “Rudy” also revealed that his mother had been giving him hallucinogens for years. He was tired of his mother crossing her boundaries, watching him in the shower, and forcing him to bathe her. “It’s a real shame… I’ve never heard of a mother doing this to a child,” Quanell added.

This Monday in a statement “Rudy’s” mother, Janie Santana, expressed her gratitude to the media and the public for their support during these difficult years.

“We want to thank the media and the general public for all their support. My son Rudy Farias IV was found on Thursday, June 29, after having been missing for 8 years.” Santana also referred to the recovery of his son.

“Rudy is getting the care he needs to get over his trauma, but right now he can’t talk and he can’t communicate with us. We ask for privacy during this difficult time, but we will share more details as Rudy continues to heal,” the mother added this past Monday without giving further details.

“Rudy” disappeared when he was 17 years old while walking his two dogs between Tidwell and Park Drive in north Houston.

The activist stated that, during the interrogation with the authorities, “Rudy” remained completely silent, and it was not until his mother left the room that the young man told everything to Quanell X, who was with a detective from the Department of Houston Police (HPD).

Quanell X says he was shocked to learn that a search warrant had not been executed at the house. “Rudy” made it clear that he was always in that house. Quanell X considers that the Police seriously failed, since several calls were made about “Rudy” to the authorities and they were not followed up.
