American actor Frederic Forest passed away on June 23 at the age of 86 in Santa Monica, California.. Among his works in cinema, the films stand out “One from the heart”, “The conversation”, Falling down and “Trauma”.
Born in Waxahachie, Texas, on December 23, 1936, Forest began his acting career on the stage and in 1973 made his film debut, with a role in the film “When the legends die” which was critically acclaimed. Two years later was directed by Francis Ford Coppola in the movie “Apocalyse now”, in which he played the character Jay Hick, known as “Chef”. In 1980 he was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in the film “The Rose”in which he shared credits with Bette Midler.
Frederic had an outstanding career in film and television, with memorable supporting roles. So far the cause of his death has not been released, but his sister Ginger Jackson confirmed the news that Midler had shared in Twitter; she this she wrote: “The great and dear Frederic Forest has died. Thank you to all your fans and friends for all your support over the past few months. He was a remarkable actor and a brilliant human being, and I was lucky to have him in my life. He was at peace ”.
