CNCO will give its last presentation as a pop and reggaeton musical group on July 20 in the twentieth edition of Premios Juventud (PJ), to be held at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José M. Agrelot in San Juan.

“For us it is very crazy to say goodbye at the PJ Awards because the first time we presented ourselves as a band at awards was at Premios Juventud”the group said in a press release.

The show that will be given at the CNCO event will also conclude its farewell tour, “La Última Cita”, as reported by the Premios Juventud production this Thursday, a show that will be held for the second consecutive year on the island of enchantment.

“We remember that that night (the 2022 edition) we won five awards and it was one of the most emotional nights of our career”, added the band members.

When did they announce the separation?

During the Premios Juventud 2022 edition, Puerto Rican Zabdiel De Jesús confirmed that the members of the quartet will go their separate ways.

“CNCO is disbanding soon”confirmed De Jesús after obtaining one of the five awards.

What is CNCO’s trajectory?

The group that consisted of Christopher Vélez (Ecuador), Erick Brian Colón (Cuba), Joel Pimentel (Mexico), Richard Camacho (Dominican Republic) and Zabdiel de Jesús (Puerto Rico) became a musical phenomenon in 2015 while they were growing artistically within the reality show La Banda.

To their surprise, On December 13 of that same year, in addition to winning the show, Ricky Martin became his manager. The talent of the five youngsters was even praised by Laura Pausini and Alejandro Sanz before they rose to the pinnacle of fame.

In 2016 they released their first single titled ‘Tan fácil’They also gave their first official concert at the Fillmore Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami and worked with great artists Wisin, who produced their first record material ‘Primera Cita’.

In 2021 Joel Pimentel announced his final departure from the group. During eight years of experience CNCO has positioned itself among the preferred bands of the Hispanic public that will see them say goodbye to the stage in a month.
