Marijuana for medicinal and recreational use in Mexico is not legalized, however, its use is commonly known, not only as it is traditionally known in cigarettes, but in other forms, such as sweets and breads, sometimes they are a risk for those who consume them .

Like it shows, three students from a high school in Chilpancingo, Guerrero, were intoxicated by consuming marijuana brownies, which caused them to be admitted to a hospital, reported the director of the campus, Joaquín Lugo Millán.

According to the authorities, the intoxicated arrived at the facilities of the Mexican Red Cross. They are two girls and a boy, with symptoms of having used marijuana.

The director of the school, Joaquín Lugo Millán, narrated that the cleaning worker noticed that a student had “quite a lot of vomit”this around 8 in the morning, in the school toilets, for which she was transferred to the Red Cross to receive medical attention.

Two hours later, another student developed dizziness and symptoms of vomiting. Howeverin total there were five students who consumed chocolate brownies with marijuana and that they assured their parents that they bought them through the internet, the manager explained.

Despite its ordinary appearance, research shows that a single marijuana-infused cookie or candy can contain several times the recommended adult dose of THC. Anyone who eats one of these edibles, especially a child, can feel the effects of an overdose as severe poisoning.

A study published in the “Annals of Internal Medicine” ensures that eating marijuana in its different forms is more harmful to the body than smoking it.
