The Colombian Hugo Rodallega, current Independiente Santa Fe player, tearfully lamented the racist insults he received at the Gimnasia y Esgrima la Plata stadium in Argentina at stake corresponding to the South American Conmebol.
Rodallega, who also had his time in the MX League with teams like Atlas and Monterrey, said he felt tired of this situation that is repeated daily in the stadiums.
“We do not improve as humanity, what is happening in the whole world is a disaster. It’s a real sadness“said a moved Rodallega about another unfortunate incident of racism in the world of football.
“That they call you monkey, that they call you black, that is disrespectful and sad“, the Colombian continued through tears.
He also stressed that what matters least to him is having lost and that it is not justified, however he reaffirmed that racism must stop. Independiente de Santa Fe fell 1-0 against Gimnasia.
He also stressed that Argentines were treated well in Colombia, so this racist incident is unjustifiable and it is something that he already feels very tired of. It should be remembered that not long ago it was Vinícius Jr. who also suffered racist attacks last weekend in the game between Real Madrid and Valencia.
