Just when we thought the alleged romance between Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner was the highlight, social media exploded with the news that Selena Gomez and Zayn Malik had a romantic date in New York a few days ago.
If you didn’t know, an employee of the place where they had dinner together posted a video on TikTok telling everything. Selena and Zayn reportedly walked in together hand in hand and kissed before sitting down, which has caused quite a stir among their fans.
It is speculated what Gigi Hadid, Zayn’s ex-girlfriend, will think, but a source close to “Us Weekly” affirms that the model has no problem with Zayn dating whoever he wants, as long as he is happy and a good father to his daughter Khai. That being the case, if the relationship with Selena is true, her ex would see her with good eyes.
Gigi and Zayn were in an on-and-off relationship from 2015 until their split in 2021, following an incident with Gigi’s mother that resulted in a lawsuit against the singer. Now, the singer is focused on his daughter and his projects, among which are his new clothing line printed with his paintings and various advertising projects.
But back to Selena and Zayn. Who would have thought that they could end up together? Actually, Selena had already confessed in 2013, during two interviews, that her favorite member of ‘One Direction’ was Zayn, as evidenced by videos that are circulating on various social networks. And it seems that the feeling was mutual, since she recently started following him on social media, to which he responded in kind.
Selena has been in the spotlight lately due to alleged criticism of her from Hailey Bieber, the wife of her ex Justin Bieber. Fans were so vehement against Hailey that she even received death threats. However, Selena has come to Hailey’s defense, and the latter has responded positively to Selena’s latest social media posts.
