North Korea fired two short-range ballistic missiles on Monday. the latest in its wave of weapons tests in recent weeks, the South Korean military reported.

The Japanese Ministry of Defense also confirmed the launch. Japanese media quoted authorities as saying both missiles flew in an irregular trajectory before falling outside their economic exclusion zone.
