A tourist named Mike, 39 years old and originally from Hong Kong, had an experience that was about to become a tragedy when bungee jumping during his visit to Thailand, from a height of approximately 10 stories, when the rope broke seconds before it hit the ground, however, it survived due to the fact that there was water.

Video of the terrifying moment went viral after the victim decided to share her harrowing experience. Mike, who only gave his name for privacy reasons, decided to go bungee jumping while on vacation in Pattaya, Thailand, with a friend earlier this year, at Changthai Thappraya Safari and Adventure Park.

“I landed on my left side, so the injuries were more serious (…) It was as if someone had beaten me up”, explained the 39-year-old man, who asked to be called Mike to avoid harassment on social networks.

The man announced that he had to be hospitalized for three days and the park offered him $23,000, including $1,800 in medical fees, as well as a $500 reimbursement.

Mike’s fall was witnessed by his friends, who were with him at the Changthai Thappraya Adventure and Safari Park in Thailand.

The park’s founder, Nithit Intim, confirmed the accident, saying it was the first time this had happened.

Intim ensured that Mike had signed a liability waiver before making the jump. He also sent a photograph with the signed resignation, as well as copies of medical bills in Thailand.

“Our staff explained that if any mishap or accident occurs, our company will compensate the medical bills. But the client cannot demand compensation for other types of expenses, ”he said.
