In 2019 the Brazilian soccer player Neymar Jr. was involved in a controversy where it was rumored that he had meddled in the relationship between the reggaetonero Maluma and the influencer Natalia Barulich. The Colombian recently broke the silence and clarified all the controversy over this supposed love triangle.
In an interview with the Dominican program ‘alofoke’, a relaxed Maluma spoke openly about various issues on board a yacht while smoking a cigar. Already deep in the matter, the interpreter of ‘Happy the 4’ was questioned on this subject.
“The question with Neymar, how was that lap that took one away from you…?” they asked. As a joke, Maluma answered with a laugh: “The truth, yes, Neymar took my girlfriend from me… lies.”
The interviewers insisted “Did he take it from you or did he not take it from you?”, which caused Maluma to offer more details about it. “No, nothing. I ended up with Natalia and then I saw that they were out there as you say: teteo (party)”.
The relationship between the Colombian and the Internet celebrity lasted two years and the moderators of the program were interested in knowing how long it had been since the breakup and the new romance with Neymar Jr.

Later the controversy broke out and in 2020, during an interview for the Mexican program ‘Ventaneando’, Natalia Barulich spoke of the breakup. “It was an experience and a romance that I have left behind, in my past.”
