The Águilas del América thrashed Chivas with a score of 4-2 at the Akron stadium in Guadalajara, and thus took a new edition of the Clásico Nacional Mexican with a special performance by Jonathan “Cabecita” Rodríguez, who contributed a good game and a couple of key goals on Saturday night.

With this victory, Those led by Fernando “Tano” Ortiz take the second box of the Clausura Tournament by storm of Liga MX and Chivas remain in fifth position after Saturday’s games.

The first half would be entirely for the Club América Eagles, who mercilessly went to fly high in someone else’s nest. Barely At minute 16, Jonathan Rodríguez put the Azulcrema ahead with great definition from the right and scored the first goal of the Clásico.

Then, at minute 38, the Uruguayan scored the second in his personal account and the second for his team, this time by placing the ball after being left alone in the area due to a great maneuver after Henry Martín’s pass.

But it wouldn’t be all Leonardo Suárez placed the third goal at minute 42 with a high-quality volley shot that penetrated a rojiblancos defensive wall. Everything seemed so far that it would lead to a scandalous win and little thought in the preview of the most anticipated match in Mexican football.

Most goals between Chivas and América in the second half

Henry Martín did not want to miss América’s goal party and at minute 53 he scored América’s fourth goal in a “popcorn” auction and also had a very particular celebration imitating one of Cuauhtémoc Blanco.

The Azulcrema and Mexican National Team scorer has scored 11 goals so far in the Clausura Tournament, showing that he is currently living an idyll with goals.

However, despite the overwhelming rhythm of América, Chivas were not going to give up and discounted after an unfortunate move that led to a goal against Emilio Lara at minute 62 of the match.

Chivas were willing to die with their boots on and avoid a scandalous rout and so At minute 72, Sergio Adrián Flores placed the other discount upside down that brought the Flock even closerwhich made the end of the game interesting.

Now América displaces Chivas and they rise to the second position of the championship with 23 points, also taking advantage of the fall of Tigres in the Clásico Regio. For its part, the Herd remains in fifth place with a total of 21 units.
