Serial Burglar Arrested With 64 Theft Cases In Texas; he is allegedly guilty of damage to restaurants and bars in Houston

HOUSTON – Officers with the Houston Police Department announced the arrest of a man who has allegedly committed a series of robberies at popular Houston-area restaurants and bars.

Investigators with the Division of Property and Finance Crimes said the arrest of Reginald V Jones, 46, has been made and he is currently facing two charges in a burglary of a building premises.

During a press conference it was reported that the two affected restaurants are The Rustic and Reserve 101, both located in the downtown area. The suspect allegedly caused $16,400 in damage.

“The owners of the named restaurants provided high-definition video footage that helped identify Jones,” authorities said.

After identifying Jones, the Harris County District Attorney accepted the charges.

According to the Department of Public Safety, Jones was arrested in different parts of the state 64 times, with 54 of the arrests being made in Harris County. His first arrest occurred in 1997, and he was charged 37 of those 64.

Investigators believe Jones also staged robberies at Habit Bar and Fabian’s Club restaurants in downtown and other establishments in the Southeast.
