While in Argentina the situation of tension is escalating through the threats against Lionel Messi and the shooting attack of a supermarket from the family of his wife Antonela Roccuzzo, the footballer remains silent in France.
The 2022 world champion scored last Saturday in the 4-2 victory for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) against Nantes and celebrated naturally with his teammates. Messi looked natural, loose and with a good physical attitude, like someone who doesn’t care about the threats from the drug mafia in the Argentine city of Rosario.
In addition to that, the Argentine soccer player has a lot to celebrate: last Monday, February 27, he was awarded by FIFA as the best of the year at The Best awards gala.
Until now, the president of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, to politicians, clubs and coaches, as well as other soccer players, have expressed themselves about the unfortunate event.
However, Messi has chosen to remain silent about the situationwhile the investigations are advancing and the prosecutor in the case promised to give “good results” this week.

PSG faces German Bayern Munich next Wednesday, March 8, for the second leg of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) round of 16, which will be played as visitors in Germany. In the first leg they lost 0-1 and failure to qualify for the next phase could define the success or failure of the 2022-2023 season.
