The Mexican Football Federation (FMF) still without revealing who will be the new coach of the National Teamonce the controversial cycle of Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino ended and after the failure reaped in the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
In recent weeks, the names that have been heard the most to take office are Guillermo Almada and Miguel ‘Piojo’ Herrera; but another that has sounded very strong is that of Marcelo ‘Loco’ Bielsasince several managers consider it appropriate for the difficult challenge of the Mexican National Team.
However, for the Argentine to take the reins of El Tri is not so easy, firstly because of his requirements in terms of systems and secondly due to the supposed economic demands that are ‘unattainable’according to what was exposed by El Francotirador, the famous column of Diario Récord and which in the past has revealed internal aspects of the National Team.
“El Loco asks for too much and it is unfeasible (…) I am not referring only to economics, but his project basically wants to re-found all professional soccer in our country. So it will not be the Argentine. I’ll sign it for you”, assures El Francotirador emphatically.
The column also states that Grupo Pachuca, owner of the Tuzos and Club León clubs, is in favor of contacting Bielsa and listening carefully to his project, despite the fact that the powerful business organization is in favor of Guillermo Almada.
It remains to be seen what decision the Federation makes in the coming weeks, mainly framed in the changes announced by its president, Yon de Luisa, recently.
