The tranquility that characterized the state of San Luis Potosí a few years ago ended with the irruption of organized crime groups, who have managed to take control of the entity based on blood and fire.

That is how extortion, armed confrontations and executions are becoming more frequentas happened recently with the murder of a woman at the hands of an armed commando.

According to the first reports, around 10 hit men entered a bar located on Highway 57, very close to the state capital, to execute the owner of the business and kidnap four of her employees.

Regarding this fact, the San Luis Potosí Prosecutor’s Office revealed that the victim had dozens of bullet wounds and added that this crime is not circumstantial, since the area where it was committed there are several nightclubs where quotas, extortion and drug sales have been being demanded.

Hours later it was reported the discovery of two lifeless men in the municipality of Soledad de Graciano, and although the victims have not been able to be identified, it is not ruled out that they could be two of the kidnapped employees.

In this regard, the Secretary General of the Government of San Luis Potosí, Guadalupe Torres Sánchez, reported that the instruction has already been given to review all these establishments to see if they operate within the framework of the law.

“What happened are unfortunate events, of course the loss of a human life, and the prosecutor’s office is beginning to investigate, what we immediately agreed was that while the investigations last, the establishment involved should be closed, because then it happens that this type of of situations and the next day they are already open,” said the official.

In addition, he assured that the state will not be held hostage by any criminal group, since the authorities are there to guarantee that all economic activities are free of pressure from any member of organized crime. “We are not going to allow it, the governor was very emphatic on that,” he said.
