HOUSTON – After spending time with a group of friends a man got on his motorcycle and started to head home, but sadly he never made it.
The man died this Friday morning after having reported to his friends that he was being followed by a white Jeep in the north of the city.
Authorities are investigating whether the victim, who was traveling on Highway 45 North after leaving dinner with friends, engaged in some form of road rage.
When Harris County Sheriff’s deputies received a report from friends about a person on a motorcycle down in the parking lot of a Home Depot store at North Freeway and Holzwarth Road, they thought it was an accident.
However, when they arrived at the scene they found that the man had bullet holes in his body.
“At this point we believe the victim may have been involved in a road rage case,” Harris County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Greg Pinkins said at the crime scene.
The victim has not been identified but was reported to be a man in his 31s.
