Violent confrontation left three assassins dead in Mencho territory

Clashes between organized crime groups are becoming more frequent in the state of Jalisco, causing widespread panic among the residents of the entity, who often become witnesses of these shootings.

One of these armed clashes was recently registered in the municipality of Jocotepec, where the local security forces received the report on an intense shooting on the highway that goes to the city of MoreliaMichoacan.

Upon arriving at the scene, the agents found a van with State of Mexico license plates, and inside which there were two dead gunmen and several assault rifles.

A third lifeless person was found meters later, without any clue about the aggressors so far, so the Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office has already begun the corresponding investigations to identify the victims.

Although the reason for the attack is unknown, the truth is that it took place in the region dominated by the Jalisco New Generation Cartelwhose main leader is Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias “El Mencho”.

This confrontation occurred one day after another shooting registered in the municipality of Tlajomulcowhere elements of the National Guard were attacked by armed civilians belonging to an organized crime cell.

In that event there were no injuries, but local media reported that there were several detainees, who were transferred to the facilities of the Attorney General’s Office in the city of Guadalajara.

It should be noted that, in the year 2022, the state of Jalisco reached a record number of shootingswhen 26 shootings were recorded, leaving a dozen people dead, a situation that has prevailed during the first month of 2023.
