After almost two years of appeal, the famous American rapper Tramar Dillard, better known in the art world as Flo Rida managed to get a court to rule in his favor after filing a lawsuit against the energy drink company Celsius Holdings Inc.

Both his production company Strong Arm Productions and Dillar would have sued the company in May 2021 for breach of sponsorship contract between 2014 and 2018. Flo Rida was demanding payment for her work with the brand.

In investigations conducted during the trial, Celsius was found guilty of breaching the agreement and the jury demanded that he payment of $82.6 million dollars to the artistIn addition, it became known that the company was hiding information fraudulently.

In the judicial process it was also evidenced that the singer had played “a fundamental role” for the growth of the brand. Nevertheless, Celsius always hid the metrics and statisticsas well as the moment in which the objectives stipulated in the contract were met

Flo Rida’s lawyer, John Uustal, mentioned that for the artist “in the agreement he was signing 1% of the company, a multimillion-dollar endorsement deal and he was barely paid anything for it,” he said.

Celsius traded on the market at one dollar per share in 2014, but during the ad campaign it went up to $100although after the lawsuit it plummeted 12%.

For his part, the rapper declared in recent days that the process was long, “from the beginning, I only wanted what I worked for, nothing more, nothing less,” he said while mentioning that with this victory in his favor there is a new Respect for the judicial system.

Her lawyer, John Uustal, also said: “We said we would trust the jury to do the right thing, we would trust the verdict, we would accept the decision” and indicated that he is glad the jury concluded that Flo Rida gets what she deserves for his work.
