One of those affected was Senator Elizabeth Warren who, through her Twitter account, required Bank of America and the digital payment network to clarify the issue, “I have reported serious fraud issues at Zelle and this is their latest failure,” he wrote.
For its part, the US bank announced to its users that the glitch is a temporary bug that affects only the Zelle payment system and transactions made between January 14 and 17. For that reason, customers cannot see the amounts reflected on their account statements.
The platform claimed that It is solving the failure so that the service can work normally again. “Transfers will be completed and your balance will appear on your statement as soon as possible. We apologize for the delay and inconvenience,” Bank Of America said through its mobile app.
