America received a luxury visit to its facilities: that of the Paraguayan Salvador Cabañas, who in a short time became an idol of the azulcremas fans for his goals and achievements between 2006 and 2009; Unfortunately, his career was cut short after suffering an attack in a bar in Mexico City, which prevented him from continuing to play soccer.

“Happy to be here, again in this institution; I’m in the place where they train I trained here for a long time, working with Ricardo Rojas, Memo Ochoa, myself; I always made fun of all my teammates at that time”, mentioned the Guarani in a video that the team published on their social networks.

“It is a more difficult club to play, there is a lot of pressure here, from all sides. You have to show people why you are coming to America,” he recalled.

“Trophies are greatness, it has no name and this is extremely important, they always have to keep it so that people come and see everything that this institution like América has won,” concluded the InterLiga champion in 2008.

In addition to the video, Club América also published a series of photos of the Cabañas tour of the facilitiesin which they are appreciated his encounters with great players of the team, as Miguel Layún, Richard Sánchez and the now DT Fernando Ortiz, with whom he shared a dressing room in America.
