A new report on the controversial George Santos rocked the US press after it was revealed that congressional freshman dressed as a drag queen named Kitara in Brazil more than a decade ago.
The place “The Handbasket” published a photograph dating back to 2008 where two drag queens appear; a former friend of Santos, Eula Rochard, a drag queen in Brazil, revealed the identity of the 34-year-old politician.
According to the aforementioned media, Rochard indicated that he met Santos when he was already a drag queen “I think I met him when I was around 16 or 17 years old.. He used to hang out at my house while his mom played bingo.”
He also pointed out that he saw Santos on television and shared the news with his friends, who at first did not believe him, until they published the image that is generating controversy on social networks.
“The photo was taken in 2008 at the Gay Pride Parade on Icarai beach in Niteroi. George had disappeared for a while and then came back to Brazil with a lot of money, and that was around the same time the photo was taken,” Rochard said.
The new scandal reached the ears of Santos who, through his social network Twitter, defended himself “the most recent media obsession that I am a drag queen or ‘acted’ like a drag queen is categorically false. The media continues to make outrageous claims about my life as I work for results.”
Santos faces a plethora of accusations for the multiple false claims he fabricated about his past, ancestry and work experience.
