On his quest to solidify a Senate bid next year, Katie Porter, a Democratic representative, will have to shake off a wave of negative comments about her treatment of several of the employees who were in her charge.

Since the week before, andhe name of the native Iowa politician gained notoriety after a photograph was released showing her comfortably reading a book in Congress while a historic vote was taking place, which denoted his lack of interest and respect. However, the 49-year-old was unfazed by being put on display by various outlets.

To this must be added the fact that Sasha Georgiades, a survivor of domestic abuse and who collaborated on her work team, denounced that the fact of having been infected with Covid-19 led Porter to make life difficult for her until he was able to remove her from her position.

During an interview with National Review, the former employee mentioned that Porter is a woman whose goal is to feel the power in her hands, but not to help people as a preacher.

“I think that fame and power, with anyone, can take someone in a direction that they may not have been in before. I think it’s less and less about her actually helping, and more and more about her ego.”

Now, there are filtered screenshots of text messages between Porter and Georgiades, where the congresswoman blames her for having made her sick with Covid, which is why she no longer wanted her on her team.

Sasha Georgiades is a Navy veteran who had joined Rep. Katie Porter’s office in 2020 as a Wounded Warrior Fellow to liaise with other veterans.

California needs a warrior in the Senate—to stand up to special interests, fight the dangerous imbalance in our economy, and hold so-called leaders like Mitch McConnell accountable for rigging our democracy.

Added to this woman’s complaints are several comments from other former employees who dared to comment anonymously in Dear White Staffers last December, a popular social media account for insider political gossip, the unpleasant experience that involved them being under the orders of Katie Porter.

Among multiple negative comments, that of an individual stands out, who points out having suffered “multiple panic attacks” credited to the Democratic representative.

While another described the woman as “prone to fits of anger, regularly puts down anyone who disagrees with or dislikes her, and is incredibly arrogant and mean-spirited“.
