The triumph of the American R’Bonney Gabriel in Miss Universe 2023 divided opinions among users of social networks, who immediately rated the contest led by the Thai businesswoman Anne Jakrajutatip as Fraudbecause for many the crown corresponded to the representative of Venezuela.

This was made known on the night of January 14 in the different virtual communities, where they even attacked the personalities who served as jurors during the gala held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in the City of New Orleans, United States.

Former Mexican Miss Universe, Ximena Navarrete; Miss Universe 1998, Wendy Fitzwilliam; the founder of O Skin Med Spa, Olivia Quido; American rapper and performer Big Freedia; the executive Sweta Patel; as well as the actress and journalist Emily Austinwere part of the jury in charge of choosing the representative of universal beauty, but the one who definitely received strong signals after her participation was the presenter Myrka Dellanos, For this reason, she even had to defend herself against those who assured that she sold her vote so that the native of Texas would win.

And it is that after naming R’Bonney Gabriel as Miss Universe 2023, the Telemundo presenter shared a series of photographs through her official Instagram account to congratulate who today is considered the new beauty ambassador.

However, it was in the comments section where users expressed their disagreement with the result, assuring that the crown should have gone to Venezuela, Amanda Dudamenor in her case Miss Dominican Republic, andreina martinezsecond and third finalists respectively.

“The winner must be the most beautiful woman in the universe, the result is not correct”, “I am Venezuelan but the Dominican Republic or Venezuela deserved that crown… USA nothing to do“,” “Fraud, robbery to the Dominican Republic”, “Mirka, why were you sworn…. to let you buy??? that Crown was from Venezuela”, “Fraud then the parameters that are required are not measured, he was very wrong in the answer”, “Fraud It shouldn’t even have been in the top 16″, “Horrible what happened, outright fraud“, were just some messages that the host of ‘La Mesa Caliente’ received.

As it was expected, Myrka Dellanos did not remain silent and immediately responded to those who pointed her out for allegedly selling her votearguing that the group of judges was made up of more people, so it was not the only one that evaluated the qualities of each of the participants.

“But ma’am, I only have one vote. There were 7 other people. I can’t speak about my personal vote, but you have to keep in mind that we are 8 people, not just one, ”she wrote on one occasion.

“We are 8 on the jury, I have one vote. Mathematics is a science and obviously mine is a vote. They must understand that ”, reads another message.

“There is no fraud, that is for sure. But there are 8 judges and they all vote or obviously each person votes in secret and has their own criteria. All the finalists were ready to be Miss Universe.” Myrka Dellanos
