Devin Willock, college football champion, dies at 20

Just a few days after being proclaimed the United States college football champion, the player Devin Willock passed away at the age of 20 in a car accident.

After Willock was crowned with the Bulldogs last Mondays after a 65-7 thrashing of Texas Christian University, This Sunday the University of Georgia shared the tragic news of the death of the player, who died hours before along with another person in the accident that left two more injured.

“The entire Georgia family is devastated by the tragic loss of football student and athlete Devin Willock and staff member Chandler LeCroy.. Two other members of the soccer program were injured in the accident. Both are in stable condition and we will continue to monitor their condition with medical personnel,” the University of Georgia published in a statement.

For his part, the team coach, Kirby Smart, He also shared a message in which he regretted the news and sent his condolences to the families of the deceased.

“Everybody We are heartbroken and devastated by the loss of Devin Willock and Chandler LeCroy. We grieve with their families for this tragic loss and we will support them in any way possible,” he said.
