Miss USA, R’Bonney Gabrielwas crowned as Miss Universe 2023 this January 14 during the 71st edition of the most anticipated beauty pageant of the year in which 84 representatives from different parts of the world met.
After a tough competition in which faced in the final phase Amanda Dudamen from Venezuela and Andreína Martínez from the Dominican Republicthe native of the United States received the crown from the hands of Harnaaz SandhuMiss Universe 2022.
Born in San Antonio, Texas, R’Bonney Gabriel is currently 28 years old. and has a degree in Fashion and Clothing Design from the University of North Texas, where he graduated in 2018. After completing his studies, he founded his own fashion house called R’Bonney Nola, where he collaborates with other women who share the same taste for design.
She was elected Miss United States during the pageant held at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada, in which she prevailed against the representatives of Ohio, Nebraska, Illinois, and North Carolina.
She has also expressed pride in her multicultural background, having Filipino roots on her father’s side, describing herself as a “Texan Filipina“As he confessed during an interview for ABC News.
R’Bonney Gabriel was commissioned to design the cape she wore in the swimsuit show, which was inspired by the story of the Phoenix Rising who rose from adversity to become stronger, smarter and more powerful, according to what She explained herself through her social networks.
Following this same ideal, she began the day excited about her participation in the beauty pageant for which she had been preparing hard for the last three years, always hoping to have an opportunity like this.
“I started pursuing this goal when I had a strong intuition telling me that I needed to go for it. I’m so glad I listened, because This path has led me to a place where I feel totally aligned with myself and the purpose of helping to impact others.“said the current Miss Universe.
