Iconic burger brand In-N-Out Burger will open a corporate center in Tennessee, which will bring hundreds of jobs to the stateas announced by the governor of that state, Bill Lee, through a message on his Twitter account.
“A great American company, In-N-Out Burger has decided to locate its first corporate center in the eastern United States, right here in Tennessee,” Lee said. “It means a lot of opportunity and a lot of jobs for a lot of Tennesseans.”
The corporate center will be in Franklin, Tennessee, and construction is estimated to be completed in 2026 with an investment of $125.5 million dollars and will create 277 new jobs in Williamson County.
According to the report, in addition to the corporate, also Several restaurants will open in central Tennessee.
In-N-Out Burger, which is based in California, said in a statement that the people of Tennessee have long called for the fast food chain to come to their state.
“For many years, we have listened to requests from our customers in Tennessee to consider opening locations near them, farther east than we’ve ever been. Our customers are our greatest asset at In-N-Out, and we look forward to serving them for years to come and becoming part of the wonderful communities in The Volunteer State“, says the statement.
In-N-Out owner and president Lynsi Snyder, who is also the only granddaughter of founders Harry and Esther Snyder, said the company was eager to expand into Tennessee.
“In every decision I make, I always consider what my family would want. I have no doubt that my grandparents, father and uncle would be proud of this decision to grow our family,” Snyder said in a statement.
The iconic burger joint, which began in 1948 as a 10′ x 10′ stand in Baldwin Park, California, is now has a total of 385 locations throughout the stateas well as Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Texas, Oregon and Colorado.
Snyder assured the agency Associated Press that the company probably it will also expand throughout the regionas deliveries from its Texas warehouse will traverse several nearby states.
It’s not the only fast-food chain with a devoted fan base stretching east. Texas-based Whataburger also opened its first restaurants in Tennessee last year.
