The 2023 Golden Globes had a special “guest”, the President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelensky, who made an appearance at the ceremony through a recorded intervention to defend that future generations should know about the war only through movies.
“World War I claimed millions of lives, World War II tens of millions, there will be no World War III. not a trilogyZelensky said, stressing that Ukraine will stop Russian aggression.
“Ukraine will stop Russia’s aggression on our land, we will do it together with a completely free world and I hope all of you will be with us on our victory day, let’s save Ukraine!” he insisted.

The actor Sean Penn, who has approached the war conflict in recent times, being one of the first celebrities in taking sides by openly supporting Ukraine, he was in charge of giving way to the president’s video message.
And it is that Sean Penn previously traveled to Ukrainian territory to film a documentary and even met with Zelenski, to whom he lent one of his Oscar Awards “to succeed in the war” against Russia, for which he was seen enthusiastic about his participation at the gala when presenting the Ukrainian.
The 44-year-old actor also recognized “free people”, aspiration that he seeks for all nations in the context of war that is currently being experienced.
“I can definitely tell you who is the best in the previous year, the best last year were you, the free people of the free world, those who united supported the freedom of the people, in a common fight for freedom, democracy, for the right to live, no matter who you are, where you are from, no matter who you are with,” he said.
