After coming out of retirement in December to start 2023 as a Kings League player, César ‘Chelito’ Delgado announced that he will not be able to continue in the project and will no longer be part of the Anniquiladores FC team.
Through a video message shared by the club’s Twitter account, the Argentine said that for family and work reasons it is difficult for him to combine this responsibility with his other obligations.
“I will not be able to participate in the Kings League with the Annihilators team. I wish the best to the team and to everyone in general. Due to work and time issues, it is very difficult for me to be there, so I wish you the best and I hope at some point to be able to participate with you. Huge hug and much success, ”he said.
The competition’s Twitter account made official the registrations and withdrawals of the contest that will be available from day three. Replacing ‘Chelito’, Fran Hernández entered.
Annihiladores is owned by the famous Colombian youtuber with a Mexican passport, Juan Guarnizo, who is also known for being the husband of content creator AriGamplays. The club is coached by Sergio Verdirame, a former player for Colón, Colo-Colo, Morelia, Cruz Azul, Santos Laguna and Rayados de Monterrey.
In the first instance, the signing of Delgado was to develop as “player number 11”, that is, it would be common during all or almost all days of the tournament.
This is the second loss of a player with a past in the Liga MX of the King’s League after the departure of Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández from the Ibai Llanos squad, Porcinos FC. The striker only played one game by express order of the LA Galaxy of the MLS.
The seven-a-side soccer tournament lasts for 11 days that will take place until the month of March, approximately, and will only be played on Sundays with six commitments per date.
