The political soap opera starring the “rebel” Republicans who for three long days opposed kevin mccarthy rise as the new president of the House of Congress came to an end this Friday, however, the consequences left by the last battle have given much to talk aboutone of them, the one starring the speaker and Matt Gaetz.

Twitter hasn’t stopped talking about the uncomfortable moment that was experienced when McCarthy faced Gaetz in plenary session of the House of representativesafter in one of the votes the “rebel” Republican mentioned “present” instead of saying “McCarthy” who had won 216 votes and would have achieved success if he had received one more vote.

The two-minute video that was shared on social networks by CSPAN has been seen, as of this Saturday, more than 1.8 million times and in the McCarthy can be seen walking down the hall of the House to where Gaetz is sitting and exchanges a few words with his fellow Republicans, although it is impossible to decipher what he said to them.

The truth is the conversation seemed tense to the extent that at one point Gaetz, who was seated, appeared to point angrily at McCarthy and one of his aides.

The president of the House of Congress and the Republican continued to exchange wordsbut in an already annoying tone.

It is unknown to no one that Matt Gaetz came to the House with the firm intention of blocking McCarthy’s arrival to power and thus remained until the last day.

One day before the last vote Gaetz offered an interview with FoxNews in which he revealed that McCarthy had made concessions to reach the position that he has dreamed of so much “I am excited and encouraged. I am grateful that Chairman Designate McCarthy has been so receptive to each and every change that we have demanded. We’re at a stage where I’m running out of things to ask for.”
