Emotional moments were experienced in the preview of the opening match of the Closing Tournament of Liga MX where Necaxa lost at home to Atlético San Luis with a score of 3-2. Before starting the game, a minute of applause was given at the Victoria de Aguascalientes stadium in tribute to Edson Arantes Do Nascimentobetter known as King Pelé.

The footballers of both clubs came together in a hug in the middle of the field game to pay tribute to the man considered by many to be the best footballer in history and who left this earthly plane on December 29. In the same way, they launched a white balloon into the sky in honor of O Rei.

Tribute to Ramón Valdés

But King Pelé was not the only honoree on this day, since On its 100th anniversary, Necaxa launched a jersey in honor of the well-known character Chavo del 8 played by the great Ramón Valdés, Don Ramóna character that recalls that typical and memorable phrase for the history of the franchise “I’m going to Necaxa“.

The 11 Necaxa holders took the corresponding photo with the typical cap of Don Ramón in homage to the immortal character. Despite the tributes, Necaxa will have a lot to review ahead of what will be their second meeting on January 16 at the León stadium.
