Cristiano Ronaldo has caused a wave of emotions since his arrival at Al-Nassr, but also rumors and the latest is about Pepe’s possible arrival at the Saudi club to join his compatriot and friend CR7.
Given these rumors, the Porto coach, Sérgio Conceição, commented this Friday on the rumors of a possible transfer ofthe veteran center-back Pepe to the Saudi Al Nassr of his great friend Cristiano Ronaldo, and assured that “they don’t think about that” at the club.
Sérgio Conceição ironically: “Al Nassr wants to make a team for the Champions League but it’s not possible. It’s on our continent.”

At the press conference prior to Saturday’s league game against Casa Pia, Conceição was asked about Pepe’s possible departure to Cristiano Ronaldo’s new team but he replied that “they don’t even talk” about it in the locker room.
“Everyone knows what (Pepe) represents for the club, the connection he has with the fans, with the club, with the city itself is too great (…). You don’t even talk about it, you don’t even think about it,” he said.
In addition, he pointed out, between laughs, that “Al Nassr wants to make a team to win the Champions League, but it is not possible, they are on another continent…”.
Pepe, 39, ends his contract with Porto at the end of this season and, according to information in the Spanish press, Cristiano Ronaldo is eager to take his great friend to his new club.
He is currently away from the pitch due to an arm injury suffered during his participation with Portugal in the World Cup in Qatar, and has recently undergone surgery.
Pepe and Cristiano Ronaldo shared almost 10 years at Real Madrid and both were also together at Sporting Lisboa where they shone as young promises of Portuguese football where they later demonstrated it in the national team with the Euro Cup in 2016 and the UEFA Nations League in 2018.
