The Chivas de Guadalajara They will face a new season in Mexican soccer with the illusion of returning to the path of titles. Many years have passed and the Sacred Flock has not been able to be a protagonist in the MX League. But despite this pessimistic outlook, Fernando Beltrán believes that the Guadalajara team continues to be the most important in Mexico.

“Chivas continues to be the best in MexicoI don’t like to talk because I haven’t been a champion either, but the championship here is worth more than in any team, I know what it is to suffer here to be able to arrive, you go with everything against. When I got here, I began to see how difficult the challenge of putting Chivas at the top is,” Beltrán said in a statement for TUDN.

It is worth remembering that Chivas de Guadalajara have not won a Liga MX since 2017. It was in the Opening of 2017 when the Sacred Flock obtained its last title. In the month of May the club could celebrate 6 years of drought.

Alexis Vega, an important piece for the Chivas title

Everything seemed to indicate that Alexis Vega would leave Chivas de Guadalajara after the Qatar 2022 World Cup. But a discreet participation in the World Cup and the motivation of his teammates led the Aztec to stay one more season in the Sacred Flock.

“A good team has been put togethernot from now but from a long time ago, where they have brought good players in positions that we have needed. Alexis returned from the World Cup and how he played, the desire he had to fulfill his dream of going to Europe and everything, I have spoken a lot with him and I have asked him that we need him here”, revealed.

Chivas de Guadalajara debut this Saturday, January 7 against Rayados de Monterrey. The match will be played at the BBVA Bancomer Stadium and will mark the beginning of the path in the Clausura 2023.
