New Year’s celebrations began in some parts of the world where 2023 has already arrived.
Kiribati, in the Pacific Ocean, was the first to welcome the new year, followed by New Zealand an hour later.
Then, thousands of people gathered in Sydney to attend the famous spectacle of Fireworks from the Australian city.
Live music, balloon release, and light shows they were other condiments of the arrival of 2023 in Japan, the Philippines, China and Thailand.
People gathered early in the vicinity of the Sydney Opera House to take the best places.Many in Sydney preferred the Botanic Gardens to watch the fireworks.Celebrations at Hagley Park in Christchurch, New Zealand, with live music.In South Korea, people also gathered to welcome the new year together.The release of balloons was the protagonist of the festivities in Tokyo, Japan.In addition to balloons, there were musicians and light shows in the Japanese capital.Victoria Harbor was the perfect place in Hong Kong to welcome 2023.The fireworks from the Taipei 101 building were the brightest spectacle in the Taiwanese capital.The fireworks were also protagonists in the Chao Phraya river in Bangkok, at Thai midnight.In Manila, Filipinos gathered at Rizal Park to ring in the New Year together.Although many are preparing to celebrate the Chinese New Year in three weeks, several regions of the Asian giant -such as Jiangsu province- also celebrated these first hours of 2023.
