A particular story transcended on social networks. A little boy from the town of Chesterfield, England, asked for a soccer shirt as a Christmas present and received one from the Mexican La Liga MX club Santos Laguna.

The fact was known on the social network Twitter thanks to the boy’s father, identified as Rich Hickerman. “Thanks to Secret Shirt Co for the shirt for my boy. He loves it, although I thought it was a little small. Now he is a fan of Santos Laguna”, he wrote.

The publication was accompanied by two photographs. One with the little one wearing the white shirt and another with the envelope that accompanies the box and specifies the team and league. The tweet reached more than 50,000 views.

The story reached the club’s ears and Santos Laguna’s English-language Twitter account welcomed the boy into the family. “Welcome to the Guerreros family,” the team wrote, quoting the original post.

The shirt was distributed through a company called Secret Shirt Co, which is dedicated to selling jerseys anywhere in the world, but through a method that is becoming a trend among fans and is also known as Mystery. Box or mystery box. The fans buy a shirt, but without knowing which one will come to them.

Among the products available is the special Stars Wars edition of the Tijuana Xolos, which went on sale in the 2019-2020 season and costs more than $45 dollars.

It is not the first time that this company has distributed Mexican team shirts. Pumas, Pachuca, Juárez, Querétaro, the extinct Colibríes, Toros Neza, Tigres, Veracruz, Xolos and Santos Laguna, have been some of the squads that Secret Shirt Co has previously sold. Jerseys for adults are $45 dollars and for children $70 dollars.
