The use of Artificial Intelligence to perform tasks that until very recently were thought to be only capable of being done by a person has been on the rise over the past year.. The most recent sample of this reality was given by a user who used ChatGPT to compose Christmas songs.

Evan Greer, an indie-punk singer-songwriter, recounted that used AI to write the lyrics for “Santa’s Mighty Sack”, one of the songs contained in the album Automated Christmas Joy. This is a four track album created entirely through ChatGPT.

Greer stated that he was only in charge of composing the music and melodies since all the letters were the product of his interactions with the advanced intelligence model. He noted that while it is possible to realize that the songs were not written by one person, the result is amazing.

“There are some really fun moments where you can see the AI fail and succeed at the same time,” said Evan Greer.

The musician explained that At the time of speaking with ChatGPT, he asked the bot to write a Christmas song designed for a gay bar. He noted that in this case, based on recent events of violence against LGBTQ+ people, the AI was inspired by them.

“It’s Christmas Eve and we’re all here. In our favorite bar with our dear friends (…) We have been through a lot this year. But tonight we are going to put aside our fears”, refers part of the lyrics of the song.

In the case of another of the songs, Greer asked ChatGPT to write another Christmas song, but this time inspired by the style of the popular band Blink 182.He also asked that it be set in the city of Boston.

ChatGPT

ChatGPT is a chatbot capable of writing texts with such a level of precision that they can be considered as written by a human being. This has led many young people to use this system to do their homework for them, and even carry out tests with a certain level of complexity.

ChatGPT’s analytical capabilities are such that it can answer cross-questions, admit it’s wrong, and reject inappropriate questions..

“The format makes it possible for the tool to answer follow-up questions, admit its mistakes, question incorrect premises, and reject inappropriate requests,” say its creators.
