“Being in Rayados is almost like being in a European club”: Jesús Gallardo does not have as a priority playing in the Old Continent

Jesús Gallardo, the Rayados midfielder who defended the Tri shirt in the World Cup in Qatar 2022, He stated that making the leap to football on the Old Continent is not something that matters too much to him at the moment , since he is very happy in Monterrey , to the degree that he said that being there is like being in Europe.

“I’m happy to be in Rayados, being here is almost like being in a European team: It has beautiful facilities, the stadium, the fans, everything is incredible here. Obviously I would like to play in Europe at some point, if it doesn’t happen I won’t lose sleep… you have to enjoy the moment, be calm and if the opportunity comes, welcome it, and if not happy to be in a such a great institution”, he declared at a press conference upon his return to Monterrey after the World Cup adventure.

The player also spoke about the talent that there is in his team to export soccer players, although he recognized that there are still some points to adjust for that to happen.

“There are many players who can emigrate, in Rayados there are quality players, they all have to benefit, it depends on the team , it is a set of many things, I think the team has to move things so that this can happen ”, he stated.

Finally, regarding the failure of the Mexican National Team in Qatar 2022, the player who played the 90 minutes in the three games for El Tri, he said he was hurt for not achieving the goal, but he assured that he is already thinking about the next World Cup.

“We understand the cr íticas, that people are hurt, we all feel equally hurt, I think, we have the same dream, to make history, they tried to do their best, we are hurt, that has already happened, A World Cup is coming up in Mexico, we have to take advantage of that, turn it around… It’s always a source of pride, if it’s my turn I’ll be there, excited”, he concluded.
