Two Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers and a civilian were hospitalized after being injured in a traffic accident that occurred early Thursday morning in the Mid-Wilshire neighborhood.
The accident happened at approximately 1: 60 am at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Hauser Boulevard, east of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, according to the LAPD.
According to the driver of the other car involved in statements to KTLA, LAPD officers crossed a red light without having the patrol lights on and without siren, and they collided with another vehicle, apparently a dark-colored Volkswagen SUV.
The The authorities did not disclose the conditions in which the two police officers injured.
The driver of the SUV also had to be taken to a medical center for treatment, but his identity and condition are unknown of health.
Up to now it is not known if the LAPD patrol was responding to a call at the time the incident occurred.
