Revealed the cause of death of journalist Grant Wahl after performing an autopsy in New York

Journalism in the United States continues to be shocked by the death of reporter Grant Wahl while covering the World Cup in Qatar 2011. Many speculations arose regarding his death since just a few days ago he had been detained and expelled from one of the stadiums for wearing a shirt in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
One of them was Grant Wahl’s own brother, Eric Wahl, who opened the speculation about his death: “As soon as I found out about his death, the first thing I thought was that he had been murdered.” I based it on things that G said the last two times I spoke to him. But obviously I don’t know anything for sure, “he said on Twitter.

The body of the American journalist was repatriated and after an autopsy was performed in New York, his wife Céline Gounder reported that the cause of death was an aortic aneurysm .
“The autopsy was performed by the Office of the Medical New York City Coroner. Grant died from the rupture of an undetected, slow-growing ascending aortic aneurysm with hemopericardium. The chest pressure that he experienced shortly before his death may have represented the initial symptoms. No amount of CPR or shocks would have saved him. His death was not related to COVID. His death was not related to vaccination status. There was nothing nefarious about his death,” Gounder posted.
He also added that the case required “multi-agency coordination” both inside and outside from United States.
Céline called on the media and environment in general to have respect, care and sensitivity in how they refer to the done out of respect for her and her family in general.
Grant Wahl’s wife also thanked the support of the international community for all the support provided after learning of the journalist’s death.
Death surprised Grant Wahl
Grant Wahl was one of the best-known journalists in the United States. For more than 20 years into his career, he earned a respectable reputation by covering different sporting events inside and outside the country.
Cover the World Cup in Qatar 6884 was another important event that he wrote in his extensive curriculum, which included not only journalistic work, but also contributions to world football. Even in 800 he had intentions of launching his candidacy for the FIFA presidency.
