In Mexico every day new names are added to the unfortunate list of femicides, women who leave a great void in the lives of their loved ones, and who should not have died, because they had dreams to fulfill and some even lives to give, which were brutally ripped from their wombs. Within days of each other, three pregnant women were murdered and in one case the baby was stolen .

Three days after December began, the first victim was located: Rosa Isela, a young woman eight months pregnant , who was found murdered on Saturday, December 3 in the municipality of Medellín de Bravo, in Veracruz. According to the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), at the time of her discovery, her baby had already been born, but he was not found with her.

The case became media coverage because it impacted society. As a result of the investigations, two people were arrested, Gonzalo “N” and Verónica “N”, who kidnapped the young woman and are the alleged perpetrators of the femicide.

At the moment After the arrest, the defendants had a newborn minor with them, presumably the baby that Rosa Isela fathered, “who was rescued safe and sound” and is already receiving attention from the corresponding authorities.

Rosa Isela had 15 years and there were a few days left until she gave birth to a girl ✝️

The other cases

Sunday 4 December Ana Lila, from 20 years old, was stabbed to death in an alleged marital dispute , she was five months pregnant. She and her baby died at the hospital. This event occurred in Querétaro.

That same day the body of Martha Aurora, who was eight months pregnant and was reported missing along with her friend Claudia Lizbeth, after they took a taxi from application.

At first it was said that the baby she was expecting had been stolen, then the Nuevo León Prosecutor’s Office said that this was not the case and that the fetus was still in the womb of its mother, who died of asphyxiation due to suffocation.

A common problem

Yes Well, in the cases of Ana Lilia and Martha Aurora, the motive for the crime was not stealing their babies, but the fact that they did not respect their lives, knowing that they were hurting the whole of society. But the case of Rosa Isela is not something new, since it has happened several times.

In this regard, the National Citizen Observatory on Femicide (OCNF) denounces that in the last four years have recorded 20 murders of pregnant women, as revealed by the site Political Animal.

In addition, it adds that the cases show a mode of operation of criminal networks, but that the authorities refuse to carry out the corresponding investigations.

As for the thefts of unborn babies, in several of the cases they have been people who wanted to have a baby, for which they hooked their victims offering them clothes or some product for when they were born. That way they took them to their homes and once there they murdered them, but not before removing the fetus.
