Together with the production team they decided that González’s character should not use makeup, a decision that is not very recurrent in the artistic world. In an interview that the Mexican gave for the medium Collider assured that this was not something they already had prepared before she arrived: “I cannot take all the credit because it is a creative team,” she said, assuring that it was not part of the character before she took the role.
The actress said that she rejected makeup all the time because she believed that “Fran”, her character, was someone who would not use it. “I felt bad because I kept rejecting makeup” , he assured, “but Fran is a woman who comes from a financial background, she is a fly on the wall, she does not want to be seen and she also feels very comfortable in her own skin,” he said.
In Eiza’s vision, this decision helped her get closer the character and clarified that it was not about following an agenda; “It just transforms you because it allows you to live in someone else’s skin,” he said. The truth is that this has already attracted the applause of his followers, who thank him for letting himself be seen naturally and sending a message acceptance.
