A pilot threatened to strand in Kansas to Trump supporters if they did not behave properly during the flight.
Passengers were traveling from Washington DC to Phoenix on Friday, January 8, two days after pro-Trump extremists stormed the Capitol. As a result five people died, there were many injuries and more than 60 were arrested.
On board the flight of American Airlines , Trump supporters were traveling chanting their support for POTUS, and many were reportedly not wearing masks properly given the situation. The situation became untenable so the flight captain demanded that they behave, or else they would stay thousands of miles from home.
Mindy Robinson , host of R ed White and F You , was on the plane and shared a clip of the experience on Twitter.
Wow. I’m on a plane full of patriots flying from DC to Phoenix and we started chanting “USA”… and the Captain came on said told us he’d drop us off in Kansas if he had to if we didn’t obey their every single rule.

“I’m on a plane full of patriots flying from DC to Phoenix and we started singing USA… and the Captain came in and said he told us that he would leave us in Kansas if he had to, if we didn’t follow all his rules. American Airlines is anything but American. ”
She added: ‘If you remember, they were rude to me on the road too because of my MAGA hat. These companies don’t understand how many of us really are? ”
Another account, called “A Patriot’s Point of View,” shared a similar clip of the flight. A recording of the pilot’s message was also shared, greeted with angry comments from travelers, and one was heard saying, “Isn’t this American Airlines?”
The captain said, “This is how it’s going to be… it’s a four and a half hour flight to Phoenix. We will leave this plane in the middle of Kansas and we will leave the people, I don’t care. We’ll do that if that’s what it takes, so please behave. “
American Airlines has defended the pilot, and a spokesperson told the New York Post that he was “emphasizing the importance of following the instructions of the crew members and complying with mandatory face covering policies. ”
“ At American Airlines we take the safety of our customers very seriously and we value the trust they place in our team to take care of them throughout his trip ”, added the company in a statement.
