This Sunday three of the four original stars of “Sex and the city” have confirmed the rumors that the series would return to the small screen with a limited number of ten episodes that will air through HBO Max and will apparently carry by title “And just like that…”
Sarah Jessica Parker , Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis have published the same announcement on their respective social networks – a video from New York City – to share the good news with all fans of the story of Carrie Bradshaw and her soul friends, but Kim Cattrall has not said -or written- a word, which confirms that it will not be present in es new delivery.
The big question now is how her absence will be explained or if she will choose to find another actress to replace her. Her own Sarah Jessica Parker has been in charge of answering some of these questions to clarify that no one will replace Kim, despite the fact that it had been rumored that Jennifer Coolidge could be done with the role, because they prefer to focus on exploring new plots that obviously the character of Samantha will not be part of. Another point that she wanted to make is that she has not vetoed her former co-star for the bad relationship they have and that has made headlines in recent years.
“No, I don’t like him. I’ve never said something like that and I never would. Samantha is not part of this story, but she will always be part of ours. It doesn’t matter where we are or what we do ”, he replied to one of his followers. Shortly after, she confessed to another that she, too, would miss the PR famous for her self-assurance and fast-paced sex life.
It should be noted that in the first draft that was written for the third film of “Sex and the city” , which was never shot, Carrie’s character was “getting rid” of Mr. Big -al that gives life Chris Noth – explaining that he had died of a heart attack, so the writers could resort to a similar trick to justify the absence of Kim Cattrall .
