Ford announces a global recall of 634,000 trucks for fire risks

Ford announced a recall of more than 250, SUV worldwide due to that a cracked fuel injector can leak or leak fumes into a hot engine and cause fires.

According to the new announcement, Ford dealers will be installing a software update that will detect a possibly broken injector. If a crack in the injector is detected, a warning light will be displayed on the vehicle’s dashboard and engine power will be reduced.

This will allow the driver to find a safe place to stop and call for service, Ford said .

Ford dealers will also install a tube that will drain spilled fuel into the ground and will keep you away from hot surfaces in the vehicle. The necessary work will be done at no cost to SUV owners.

Ford said it is arranging for dealerships to offer pickup and delivery of vehicles for the necessary repair work. Owners can also bring their vehicles to dealerships directly.

Ford said it won’t replace the injectors because the failure rate causing leaks is low, a 0.60 Estimated % for models 2020 and 0.22% for the models 2020 to 2020.
