Colombia and ELN maintain secrecy on the third day of negotiations in Venezuela

The delegations of the Government of Colombia and the guerrilla of the National Liberation Army (ELN) for the peace talks maintained total secrecy on Wednesday (18..23), when the third day of negotiations was held in Caracas, after they expressed their hopes of reaching agreements “soon” the day before. dynamic, after bilateral meetings were held on Tuesday morning between the parties and the guarantor countries (Venezuela, Cuba and Norway), and in the afternoon the formal negotiating table met.

Unlike previous days, the state channel VTV did not offer information this Wednesday about the talks that continue to be held in a hotel located in an alpine area of ​​Caracas, which will remain, as announced, until mid-December.

Sources related to the negotiations did not respond to EFE’s requests for information or assured that they do not have, for now, news to communicate and that when they are they will be disseminated “in due course”.

Four years and four months after their last meeting in Havana, both delegations sat down again to negotiate, amid the efforts of Colombian President Gustavo Petro, to move towards “total peace” in his country.
