The Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) is one of the most dangerous criminal organizations in Mexico and the world, as it has come to establish operations centers in other countries such as Ecuador, where it has left a trail of violence in its struggle to gain control of the region.

To wage its bloody wars in the territories it disputes with other cartels such as the Sinaloa, the organization led by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias “El Mencho” , has at least 23 armed cells, each under the command of a regional leader.

However, three of these groups stand out for being the most cruel and bloodthirsty, in addition to being responsible for the majority of kidnappings, extortions and executions throughout the Mexican territory.

One of these cells operates in Puerto Vallarta and is headed by Hugo Gonzalo Mendoza Gaytán, alias “El Sapo”, who took control after the murder of a Colombian drug trafficker and the arrest of Abigael González Valencia, alias “El Cuini”.

According to the Unión Jalisco site, together with Mendoza Gaytán two of the most violent drug traffickers of the CJNG operate: Carlos Andrés Varela, alias “La Firma”, and Francisco Javier Gudiño Haro, alias “La Gallina”.

Both criminals are related to the murder of the former governor of Jalisco, Aristóteles Sandoval Díaz

, as well as the attack in Mexico City against the Secretary of Citizen Security, Omar García Harfuch.

Other One of the most powerful cells of the CJNG is known as Los Cabos, whose leaders are Edgar Herrera Pardo, alias “Caiman”; Carlos Lorenzo Hinojosa Guerrero, aka “Corporal 96”; Edgar Pérez Villa, alias “Cabo 54”, and Israel Alejandro Vázquez, alias “Corporal 18”.

Even the Department of Justice of the United States is concerned about the increase in the operations of said cell on the California border, since it tends to act with extreme violence, and they are accused of being responsible for the increase in drug trafficking in cities like San Diego .

Finally there is the “Elite Group” of the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación, the most powerful armed wing of the organization, as it is made up of men with paramilitary training, and whose priority is to end the objective without matter the shape.

This group has been responsible for the violence in states like Michoacán and Guanajuato, where massacres have become everyday situations due to the war that they maintain with the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel and United Cartels.
