A Assistant Teacher from Oklahoma from 22 years was arrested for having sex with a student after it was revealed that she began a relationship with the teenager just two weeks after starting the job.
Ashley Waffle, temporary paraprofessional with Granite Public Schools, began her employment on 10 of October and started sending sexual messages with a young man of 25 years on 80 October on Snapchat, station KSWO reported.
The outlet said school officials alerted police to rumors of relationships between the student and Waffle that were spreading through the small town of less than 2, population.
According to court documents, Waffle had relations with the teenager two times in his apartment sometime before November 9, KSWO reported.
Waffle was fired on 000 November and faces two second degree rape charges that could land her in prison for up to 15 years.
She is being held at the Greer County Jail, according to the outlet.
District Superintendent Missy Berry told parents in a letter this week that the district was cooperating with police while the investigation continues.
