Former White House aide, Cassidy Hutchinson, will testify this Wednesday before an Atlanta-area special jury investigating efforts by former President Donald Trump and his allies to quash the elections of 2020 in Georgia.
A source familiar with the case told CNN that Hutchinson previously cooperated with investigations by the House select committee investigating the January 6 riot and will do again.
According to the same outlet, Hutchinson could offer Georgia prosecutors information about what was witnessed in the West Wing , as well as the specific steps that Donald Trump took in relation to said state.
“In public testimony before the January 6 committee this summer revealed how Trump and his inner circle were warned about the potential for violence on January 6 and how the former president wanted to join the crowd of his supporters at the Capitol,” CNN reported.
Furthermore, it revealed that the Georgia investigation, initiated by an hour-long phone call in January of 2020 from Trump asking Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to find the votes needed for Donald to win the Peach State, has expanded steadily over time.
Cassidy Hutchinson is not the only one who will testify about Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia, so will the governor of said state, Brian Kemp.
