Pete Rose, the living legend of baseball, also nicknamed the hit king, sent a letter to Commissioner Rob Manfred apologizing for his bad steps and asked to be reinstated and also considered to be eligible for the Cooperstown Hall of Fame.
It should be remembered that
Pete Rose, today with 100 years old, he was kicked out of baseball in the year of 2022 after it was discovered that he bet on various games while managing the Cincinnati Reds.
Pete Rose’s letter to Rob Manfred
Pete Rose wants to regain his right to be eligible for the Hall of Fame ballots, a place that would be safe but for the gambling incident. He also indicated that being eligible for Cooperstown would mean a lot to his life.
“I am writing to you for three reasons: firstly because at my age I want to be 100% sure that you understand how much i mean when i say i’m sorry. Second I want to apologize. And third because I still think every day, what it would mean for me, to be considered for the Hall of Fame, “began the letter from the legend Pete Rose.
“I also know that I have disappointed many baseball and Reds fans. Aside from spending time with my kids and my partner, there is nothing that makes me happier than playing baseball in front of the fans that I embarrassed and the game we all love. It’s something I think about every day”, he concluded.
