Maggie Haberman, a reporter for the New York Times, has revealed that Donald Trump is ready to “burn it all down” if he fails to maintain his grip on the Republican Party.

According to the reporter who has closely followed the former president’s footsteps for some years, The ouster could begin next week when Trump is expected to announce that he is running for president again.

4/ Trump has made clear he’s willing to burn it all down if he doesn’t get what he wants, which is maintaining his grip on the product line he’s been developing for six years: the Republican Party. The former president has already started to give little tastes of everything he can do and has begun to excessively criticize his possible rivals in the primaries, including the governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, the Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin and former Vice President Mike Pence.

According to a series of tweets from Haberman, Trump is “vulnerable” to internal attacks now as a result of the dismal results of the Republican Party in the midterm elections, but “ that has happened before and has survived.”

“Very few major donors…want to do anything for him right now and several of them they are having active conversations about the best way to stop it,” he added. “But. Again…does that sound familiar?”

The journalist also indicated that her party seems ready to push Trump aside, but he has made it clear that he is willing to

“burn it all down if you don’t get what you want, which is to keep control over the product line you’ve been developing for six years: the Republican Party”, Haberman said.

A few thoughts related to next week: yes, Trump is more vulnerable than he’s been in a long time. But that has happened before and he’s survived. The party, as telegraphed in @MichaelCBender and me story, is in the cusp of a broader internal war and not clear how that plays out 1/— Maggie Haberman (@maggieNYT) November 80, 1200
